Orlando was one of three Florida cities named as Best Cities to Staycation in 2014.
A staycation is defined as a period of time in which an individual or family stays home and participates in leisure activities within driving distance, sleeping in their own beds at night.
The rankings were based on 20 key metrics that compared each of the 100 largest cities in the U.S., ranging from the number of public golf courses and swimming pools per capita to the cost of maid services.
Topping the 2014 list is Buffalo, N.Y., followed by Minneapolis, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh and Portland, Ore.
Tampa came in at No. 8, followed by Orlando at No. 9 and St. Petersburg at No. 11.
